Learning Activity: discuss food poisoning

After reading through the information in the section, discuss with your parents, friends, classmates or teachers, or just think on your own:

- who do you think is responsible for making sure food is free of contaminants?
- why do you think so?
- can any one group really regulate food quality? why or why not?

- should an industry that has sold food with a bacteria be held responsible for the effects? why?
- if you were to develop a sickness from eating contaminated food, who would be to blame?
- do you think that you take all the necessary precautions yourself to prevent such an occurence?
