About Us three flavours for the perfect mix!

After looking round our site a bit, you're probably wondering who the people behind this site are. Well, as we promised, this site is by students, for students! The three dynamic teens behind Apples to Zucchinis: The Story of Food are:

Jason Yeo, Anastasia Salter & Allard Ankone

Jason - age 18, Singapore
The appointed leader of the operations, Jason kept the whole team going with his creative ideas and boundless energy. Jason is responsible for taking most of the delicious pictures spread out across the site. He also takes credit for writing a hefty load of the feature articles and for handling the nitty gritty form-filling and permissions requesting. Bits of the layout are also credited to him.

In his spare time, Jason enjoys playing with his pet ornamental chickens and reading early 20th century literature.

Anastasia - age 15, Maryland, USA
The writer and artist of the team, Anastasia was known for her sharp, incisive wit and knack for misfortune. Spirited and bursting with exciting brainwaves, Anastasia is largely responsible for writing the feature articles on the site. Various elements of the site navigation are also to her credit. Undeterred by setbacks, Anastasia has consistently been the conscientious, reliable one with an eye for detail.

In her spare time, Anastasia enjoys sewing everything from crazy quilts to eccentric garments. Her passion for food is unhampered by the fact that she is vegetarian.

Allard - age 14, the Netherlands
Allard was the technical whizkid of the team, an invaluable asset to the site for his ability to root out and stomp out any bug faster than you can say "troubleshoot!". His aesthetic eye was also useful in helping out with the site layout. No greenhorn when it comes to web building, Allard never failed to amaze with his almost mystical ability to wrap the Web around him.

In his spare time, Allard does practically everything under the sun, occasionally indulging in the occassional Belgian chocolate.
