Gli Slave (whose name doesn't have any connection with the word “slave")
they are a tribe of Indians of America, belonging to the group linguistic
athabasca, once appropriated in the basin of the lake Mackenzie and on the
western banks of the Gran Bretagna the Slaves' Lake.
I/you/they have allied culturally and linguistically to the tribes of the
Lowlands, stazionate more to south. Their culture represents a transition
between that of the northern tribes of the Lowlands of the north-west and those
of the regions subartiche. In this geographical area, economically marginal and
too much to north for a main point agricultural production, they still live of
hunting of fishing and of the commerce of the pelliccies.
