OTO

The Otos (called pure Otoes and Wat'ota), they are a tribe of Indians of America, belonging to the group linguistic sioux, probably a branch of the Winnebagos from which seems has separated to Green Bay, in the Wisconsin, while they were wandering toward west to the pursuit of the buffalos. Subsequently this group was separated in turn in three tribes tightly allied: the said Otos properly, Iowa and the Missouri. Merquette had felt of it and them speak Sueur he/she met them for the first time in 1700 near Blue River, in the actual State of the Minnesota nordoccidentale. You/they lived in the huts of earth and they used curtains of skins when they traveled or they chased. They were discreet agriculturists and hunters of buffalos. In 1882 the last survivors of the tribe were established in Oklahoma.
