The Osages (or Wazhazhe), they are a tribe of Indians of America, belonging to the group linguistic sioux, once appropriated in actual States of the Kansas, of the Missouri and of Illinois. According to their legends, were creations in cilo and they went down actually through four layers of sky to that they were not placed on seven rocks of different colors near a red oak. Subsequently the people ricevette four kinds of wheat and four kinds of seeds of pumpkin that fell from the legs back lefts of four buffalos. They were seminomads, hunters of bisons and sedentary agriculturists. The tribe had divided in gentes that monopolized specific activities as the behavior mocassins, pipes, insignias of war, or of arrow. Particularly one of these genteses furnished heralds to the tribe (or rather town crier of camp). The survived individuals live in a reserve of the Oklahoma currently.
