The Okanagons (or Okinagan) they are a tribe of Indians of America of language Salish, once appropriated in the actual states of the Idaho of western Oregon and of oriental Washington. They were hunters, fishermen and collectors of roots of camassia, wild seeds and berries. They were skilled manufacturers of baskets. In 1906 there were around 525 Okanagons in the State of Washington and others 825 in British Columbia. The survived individuals live in the Reserve Colville, in the State of Washington.
