Tree Boa (Corallus enydris)

The female tree boa gives birth to live young snakes, unlike many other snakes which lay eggs. Its is considered a primitive snake, as it has a pelvis and vestigial hind limbs.

Like the cobra, the tree boa has special heat sensors under its nostrils. The heat sensors, together with its eyes, help the tree boa to locate the exact place of its preys. The tree boa feeds on bats and other animals. It kills its preys by coiling around them, eventually suffocating them.
