BRABANT FIGHTS AGAINST WATER
Saturday
28 January
The Maas is still
rising.
The people in other places are
now much more worried about the water. Some villages in South Holland (a
province of The Netherlands) are even preparing an evacuation for today.
Some ministers are coming to
the areas that are flooded. The Queen of the Netherlands is coming too.
And, of course, the first
onlookers are coming to see the disasters, but the authorities have already
taken some measures to prevent inconveniences.

Not only ministers are coming but also the queen of the
Netherlands.
Parts of dikes are closed to
onlookers. The dike by Kerkdriel is closed. People who want to go on the dike
must briefly explain why, and even then they may not get permission.
One of the few places where
everyone is allowed to go on the dike is in Zaltbommel. Soon the center of
Zaltbommel is filled with cars. The shopkeepers are happy with a lot of
onlookers in Zaltbommel since it increases their business.
Next day.
