BRABANT FIGHTS AGAINST WATER

The inhabitants of Tieler-Culemborger and Bommelaarwaard went home.

The evacuees take their time. Trains and busses ride for free to bring people back to their homes. In the Autotron, the last people are leaving the reception center. To leave the reception center people had to sign out first. After that, they receive lunch and some sweets and a flower from the municipality of Rosmalen.

A lot of people had made new friends in the one week they were in the shelter together. Old neighbors had become new friends.

The people who are coming back are getting fade

And this is the end of the flood of 1995. And we can be glad that the dikes didn't break. About this flood we learnt a lot and we will use every knowledge in the further to prevent this again.
