The messages from the foreign countries prospect the worst thing. In France, Germany and in Luxembourg it has rained non-stop for many days. The rivers are growing there. The predictions for the Maas were also not good. They predicted that the rivers would flood their banks for certain.

Brabant does not have to fear yet because only the water meadows were flooded and that is not the worst part. That day the Maas stayed on the same level.

The villages and the cities, to be certain, decide to make some emergency dikes with sandbags against the water. The cities Itteren and Borgharen are getting aid posts.

But not only Chris want to sell his house.

Some people, like Chris Adams (see the picture) from Itteren have decided to move to a other city. He is not scared but he gets palpitations seeing the water of the Maas standing very high.
