Brakels' governors went against all agreements in organizing a bus tour to the Bommelerwaard to give the inhabitants the chance to feed there pets. Because only people with special passes were permitted to be in the area. In total, there were two busses going to the Bommelerwaard with 80 inhabitants from Aalst and from Zuilichem. Under the guidance of Mr. Smit they went to the forbidden area.

The bus is hold up by the ME (a heavy police squad). The commander of the ME did not do anything to stop the busses since the ME had already send many people back who where illegal in the area. They even deliberately gave permission to let the people in the forbidden area.
