This site celebrates the fact that heroism is all around us, and we have only to take hold of what's right there to become a hero ourselves. Celebrating our heroes is a way of giving thanks to those people who have changed our lives through their selfless actions. As heroic feats aren't preformed with the thought of being thanked for helping others, celebrating your hero in any way can be the ultimate way for expressing your admiration and appreciation.
There are many ways in which we can thank the people who change our lives and the lives of others. While some will follow their hero's amazing stories to the very end, others build shrines, name roads and parks after them and create artwork to commemorate the achievements of someone. Some even award these outstanding humans with gifts and awards to announce their actions to the rest of the world. Even though some heroes may remain nameless, like the many thousands of anonymous blood donors every year, you can still show your thanks by following their lead and making a donation to help others as unknown to you as you are to them. Here the role of the hero is extended to everyone who is touched by it.
