Moses Castillo from Mary Hoge Middle School, USA, writes:
I am currently going to be in charge of the student council this year. I feel that as a first year sponsor I will do a good job into leading a group of students into leadership roles. I appreciate the information you have provided. In the past the student councils have not done much.

Jenna Marcouci from Aquinas Institute of Rochester, United States, writes:
So far, we have organized a Fundraiser for the Make a Wish Foundation and managed to make two childerns' dreams come true. It was a rewarding experience for the whole school and it gave the student body a chance to appericate the lives they lead.

Derek Myers, V.P. Student Council from Henry Ford Academy of Manufacturing Arts & Sciences, Dearborn, Michigan, U.S.A., writes:
Henry Ford Academy is a very small school, about 350 kids, and our student council consists of only 12 students. I am surfing the web trying to find ideas in which we can maximize the positive in our members, while recognizing that we are very small. If anyone has any good ideas for a small school, we would greatly appreciate it. There are an unlimited amount of possibbilities out there, but we do a restraint with such a small school. Thank you for your help.

Laura from Luceo Scientifico, Italia, writes:
We don't have student councils in my country, we only have class pressidents who ocasionally organise strikes to get things in the school repaired or changed. I think students councils sound like a great idea, and I am very interested in getting one started at my school. I have spoken with the vice principal and he agrees a student council in our school could be very beneficial for the students. I will use your instructions and advice and recomend it strongly.

Beth from Ballarat Secondary College, Australia, writes:
As a part of our student council this year the most outrageous event we've run has been the raising of $500 dollars for a local chairty, with a garantee from our school principal that he would dye his hair bright blue if we did!
The results were not only asthetically hillarious but good for unity of school spirit.

Jason from Stanford University, USA, writes:
Our ASSU collects money and distributes it to diverse student groups and community service organizations approved by a student majority vote. If a student does not personally approve of a student group or does not wish to contribute money to an organization, one may request a refund from that group.
