The Spaniards, who are known to be very poor singers as a whole, have some of the finest choral groups in the world, many of them composed of nonprofessionals who work at singing because they love it so much.

Among the folk poetry and folk music lives another world of vigorous Spanish energy where musicians play their instruments as dancers strive to bring their songs to life. The people of each region of Spain have their own special songs and dancers. As the dancers begin to dance the flamenco, fandengo, or the bolero, musicians provide accompaniment on castanets, guitars, and tambourines that give birth to the endless passion of Spanish spirit.
