Bora
The Bora comes from the Yugoslavian mountains to the Adriatic sea. It is a katabetic wind, which means that it is cold, dry and often strong.
The air from the Bora wind comes from the top of the mountains, and it is set in motion because of the warmth below. Because the wind moves down the mountain it strengthens.
The Bora develops during the winter. The word "Bora" means wind from the mountain in Greek (Greece lies just below Yugoslavia).
