To the entire people in the czechish socialistic Republic!

Yesterday, the 21st August 1968 approximately at 23.00 exceeded military units from the Sovietunion, East Germany, Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria crossed the borders of the Czechoslovak Socialistic Republic. This happened without the President's cognizance, without the National Assembly's, Prime minister's or the party secretary's knowledge.

At this time we were preparing for the 14th party congress. The Central Committee's presidiums urging all citizen in republic to maintain their calm and not make any resistance. Therefor no orders have been sent to the army, milisa or the police to defend the country. The central committee look at this act as contrary to all the socialistic state's cooperative methods and international rights.

All state's, party's and national fronts leading functionaries remains on their posts to which they, according to laws and other in the Czechish Socialistic Republic's valid codes has been chosen to. The National Assembly, the republic's government and the party immediately invite all the official employees to a meeting with the Central committee to discuss the current situation.
