Jan is 18 years old. His parents came to Sweden from the former Czechoslovakia. His father fled during the invasion. Today Jan lives with his mother, Ivana and his brother, Thomas. His father passed away a couple of years ago and this site is made in his honor. It describes the treachery of communism and by spreading knowledge and enlighten people all over the world it encourages a standpoint against communism. Having this in mind Jan started this site and wanted to participate last year in TQ. His problem was that he had two team members that were not contributing to his work. Having the burden on his shoulders he cheated a little by copying from books. At the time we were in the same class and because he had chosen not to participate with his site we became team members.

His strong sides?
He is stubborn as(s) a mule (just put the mouse over the image and you will see what I mean). Once he sets his mind to something he will do anything and everything to get it achieved. He is like a quiet untiring source of energy, always modest and sometimes shy. He is also a workaholic.

I admire him for his capacity to solve problems and his ability to self learn. He has contributed to this site with many things of which he did not have any knowledge of in advance.

His less strong sides?
Where to begin? : )
Because he has an extraordinary capacity to work he does not realize that the goals he sets on him self are high. It is hard to feel satisfaction if one is never content.

Although he has passed the CPE he cannot tell the difference between "was" and "were". He can tell them apart but does not know where to use them. That should explain some of the grammar mistakes on this site!

The future…
I think that the makings of this site brought Jan closer to Czechoslovakia. He understands where he derives from and the reason for his parents' flight 1968. He has during this year gotten into touch with many famous countrymen that also had to flee. I think that he feels the support both he and I have received from these people and the knowledge of it has made us strive for higher goals.
