Himeji Castle
Considered by many to be the most attractive and most fully preserved castle in Japan,
Himeji was a great challenge to invading forces. With sharp cutbacks, wide open areas, and
fortified corridors, the path to the tenshu was anything but easy. Its elegant nickname,
'The White Heron', belies the castle's rough defenses. More information on Himeji Castle can
be found in the tour section.
You have two choices for points of entry into Himeji. Should you require his services,
there is a ninja lurking near the upper right corner of the map... be warned, using the
ninja will make things considerably easier!
