- This site provides great information on the architecture of the
Himeji Castle as well as its long history. There are a lot of pictures
which illustrate its detailed descriptions.

- This is a site that provides numberous pictures on almost all of the
castles in Japan. The author provides insights on the different
castles along with brief descriptions.

- It is sites within a site... and pictures too! "Castles Towns"
explains the history of the planning of building castles and all
that happens in the castle towns after they are built.

Castles - This is a beautiful site covering castle history, structure, and defenses.
