The New York Stock Exchange was founded in 1792.  It is located in New York City in the borough of Manhattan.  The other Stock Exchanges are NASDAQ and the American Stock Exchange.  They are all located in Manhattan.  The name of the street it is located on is called Wall Street.  Thousands of people visit the stock exchange every day.  There are 4 trading floors and 17 trading post.  On the trading floor there are brokers, who buy and sell the stock.  The NYSE is getting bigger and bigger everyday.  It has helped more than 1000 young companies to go public over the last twelve years.  Clerks bring the buying and selling  information to the brokers. The people who work in the New York Stock Exchange are very stressed.
