Olympia Attractions

Below there is a list of some of the great Attractions in Olympia. We hope you visit some of them!

 

Heritage Park Fountain

This is a great place for fun in the sun and picnics. The fountain is sort of like a giser, but there are many of them. Its fun for kids and adults of all ages. Its also spectacular at night when the whole fountain lights up! It is closed Mondays in the summer because of maintenance.

  

State Capital Campus

Here there are beautiful gardens that bloom in the summer. Ad memorials from the Vietnam, Korean and W.W.I. There are also many other buildings such as: the Legislative Building, Capital Greenhouse, the Governors mansion, the Washington State Library, the Temple of Justice and more. The center is open from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday on weekdays in the winter, and 10 AM to 4 PM weekends in the summer. There are tours available 7 days a week.

 

Percival landing & Viewing tower

There is a peaceful mile long bord walk along the water with small shops and restaurants lining it. There is a viewing tower that you can see wonderful sunsets, see the harbor, the capital, and most of all the great Olympic Mountains from.

 

State Capital Museum

This great museum is located in an old mansion. There are exhibits on the Pioneers, Native Americans, and the history of Washington. The exhibits change every month. The museum is open from Tuesday t Friday, from 10 AM t 4 PM. And is open Saturday and Sunday. It is near the Capital on 211 West 21st Street. 360-753-2580.
