Non Verbal Games

Many games can be played without sound. Here are some examples...

My favorites are:

Monopoly: because it's good family time. My favorite property is Boardwalk and Parkplace. Can you guess why? Because you get the mo$t money and people are always landing on them.

Darts: because you get to throw projectiles. Usually my brother wins but once I won because I got two bull's-eyes.

Here are some of my family's favorite games.

Board games: we like them all, but my favorite is chess.

Tunnel Tag: It's just like tag, except you have to go under the person who has been tagged legs.

Art: Drawing is fun any time and you can do it by yourself or with a friend.

Swimming: It's fun and aerobic. Most people do it all around the world.

Hula Hoop: It is hard to learn but once you've mastered it, it's fun and easy.

Horseshoes: One of my favorites. It also helps build up you arm muscles and you pitching arm for baseball.

Freeze tag: The same as regular tag except when you're tagged you are frozen on the spot but someone that is not the tagger can un-freeze you by tagging you.

Pantomime

  • This is a fun party game too!

Pantomime is a method of story telling that is done without any sound. The person telling the story, or "mime", acts out the parts with body language. A good mime can tell a complete story without any sound.

Here is how to play it.

    • Write some words or actions on cards
    • Put them in a hat or box
    • Pick a person to be the Mime
    • Have them draw a card from a hat or box
    • The Mime then acts it out without making any sound.
    • The other people guess.
    • The person that guesses it first gets to be the next Mime.
