Jackie Robinson is mostly known as being the first black man to play major league baseball. This was in 1946. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In college he was interested in a variety of sports. He played basketball and football for the University of California. In 1962, he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Babe Ruth is known for hitting home runs. In 1927, he sixty home runs with a career record of 714 home runs. His home run record was not matched for 34 years. He has played for the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. In 1936, he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Roger Maris like Babe Ruth is known for hitting home runs. In 1961, he broke Babe Ruths record by hitting 61 home runs. He has played for the Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Athletics, New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals.
