
The Sydney 2000 Torch Relay will be carried by 10,000 torch carriers. It will travel on a surfboard at Bondi Beach, on the Indian Pacific train, on a Royal Flying Doctor Service Aircraft. By camel on Cable Beach at Broome, it will be carried over 1,000 towns and suburbs, between June 8 and September 15, 2,000. The Olympic flame symbolizes the light of spirit, knowledge, and life. It will be lit in Greece, in early May of 2,000, and spend 10 days being carried around Greece.
