Chemical energy is produced when things such as coal, oil, natural gas and gasoline.  Did you know our food is made of chemicals?  Chemical reactions happen inside your body with the food we eat.  All human beings are made of chemicals.
 
 

Experiment:        How to make a volcano

Materials:

clay
baking soda
cardboard
vinegar
food coloring (any color)
small plastic spoon

Procedures

Set the cardboard on a flat surface and form the volcano with the clay.
Hollow out the center of the volcano.
Pour some vinegar into the volcano (about one-fourth the height of the volcano.)
Put three drops of food coloring into the volcano.
Add two spoonfuls of baking soda and watch the volcano erupt!
