Nova Scotia is 55, 490 square kilometers or 21,425 square miles. It is the second smallest province. Prince Edward Island is the smallest. Nova Scotia is 600 km long (375 mi) and 160 km wide (100 mi). Five percent of Nova Scotia is inland water surface. The lowest point in Nova Scotia is at sea level along the coast and the highest point is in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The highest point is 532 m (1745 ft.). The coastland is 7578 km or 4,709 miles long. A neighboring island is the Sable Island which is 100 miles offshore in the Atlantic Ocean.
