LAND AREA

P.E.I covers 5660 sq. km. (2185 sq. mi.) It is the smallest province in Canada. It is 195 km. (about 120mi.) long and 65 km. (about 40 mi.) wide. The island has 1260 km. (some 783 mi.) of coastline. Along this coastline are many bodies of water. Broughton, Lennox, and Saint Peters are small islands that are part of the province. The highest point is 142 mi. (465 ft.) near the community of Hunter River. The lowest point is at sea level.
