Alberta covers 661,190 sq km (255,286 sq mi). It is the fourth largest province. The federal government owns 10% of the land. Alberta is shaped like a rectangle. It is 1270 km (about 760 mi) long and is 650 km (about 400 mi) wide. The highest point in Alberta is at Mount Columbia. It is 3747m/12,294 ft. Mount Columbia is located in the Rocky Mountains. The lowest point is 170 m (557 ft) at Wood Buffalo National Park.
