Her Puzzling Disappearance

Amelia Earhart, a famous plane pilot and a navigator Frederick J. Noonan started a flight around the world in June, Nineteen Thirty Seven. Then on July Second while enroute from Lea, New Guinea, to Howland Island their plane disappeared. Amelia and Frederick did not land on Howland Island. As she started to approach the island on the morning of July Second, after nineteen hours of flying, radio operators aboard the Itasca could clearly hear someone contacting them. It soon became apparent that she could not hear their replies. The very last known transmission from the plane came at 08:43 local time.
