Amelia's Work ExperienceDuring World War One, Amelia was a nurse's aid in Toronto. She worked at Spandina Military hospital. Some of Amelia's patients were military pilots who had taken part in dogfights in aerial fights over the battlefields in Europe. But what really sparked Amelia was their daring air-to-air stories.

AMELIA & HER HUSBAND |
Her FamilyWhen Ameilia was a little girl she had a sister named Muriel Earhart, who was two years younger than her. Muriel & Amelia were very alike. They both loved to have adventures, go fishing & play ball. Amelia's mom was Amy Earhart. Amy was the first woman to climb Pikes Peak in Colorado. When Amelia was a little girl Amy would make dark blue knee-high bloomers for Muriel & Amelia so they could go adventuring in caves, go fishing & do other fun things without getting tangled up or getting their dresses so dirty you would have to wash them to shreds. Amelia & Muriel were free from rules. Their parents let them do anything they wanted, climb trees, play ball, run & jump, use hammers & nails, saws, throw snowballs, collect frogs, go fishing & many more things. Amelia's father was Edwin Earhart. Amy & Edwin loved each other, however Amy's father Alfred Otis (Amelia's grandfather) wanted Amy to be a belle of the Atchison Society. He was disappointed when she got married to Edwin Earhart, a son of a minister. |
