Sea Of Troubles Overview

Sea Of Troubles is an interactive DHTML game. We took it from the HTML Goodies DHTML Page. Then we modified the images to our hearts content. We also modified some of the wording in the script (changed missle to spear, F15 to Hamlet, so on). You are Hamlet and you are about to "Take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing, end them." (Act III, Scene i) You (Hamlet) are trying to destroy the sea of troubles by throwing either spears or throwing knives at it. The sea of troubles is trying to either shoot you or circle around you until you become overwhelmed by all of your troubles. You must shoot it fast before it gets to close and starts circling you. If it circles you, you will not die, and you can still shoot, but your shots do no harm because you are too overwhelmed to concentrate. If you shoot him 5 times, you win!!

Browser Requirements:
Netscape or Explorer version 4 or higher. Note: Many problems have been found when playing with Netscape, such as: your screen may freeze, your spears left, knives left, and score show up as %oval, the sea of troubles doesn't explode, it just dissapears, and the game runs slower. Despite all this, it still plays. Download your copy of Internet Explorer now.

Playing tips:

  • The knives are faster than the spear, but much smaller. This makes it hard to hit the sea.
  • Use your spears sparingly; It is much harder to hit him with knives. If you don't miss once, you don't have to use any knives.
  • Don't let it get too close! If it does, kill it quick! Otherwise, it'll circle around you.
  • You have to have good timing, especially with spears.
  • Don't be indecisive like Hamlet, just kill him quick!
