How do cats purr?

Although it is still not known exactly how cats purr, it is known that all sounds are produced by vibrations. In cats' throats, vibrations occur when the major blood vessels around the vocal chords are expanded. Unlike other vocal chords, one set is called the Superior or false chords, and the other is called the Inferior or true chords. Some scientist think it is a sign of communication also.

How do cats see in the dark?

A cat's round mysterious eyes are beautiful.

In the dark, they seem to glow, but there are no lights at all in cats eyes. What makes them shine also makes them see much better than you or I. A layer in their eye called tapeteum, reflects extra light back into their eye when it gets dark. Cats can see about 7 times better than us in the dark.
