The Last Lesson

As I started to read Robinson Crusoe, Attean's eyes started to gleam and his frown started to fade away.   As I kept on reading, it seemed that Attean got more interested.   All of a sudden, Attean jumped up like a flash of lightning and said, "Him not be white man's slave!" He ran out of the cabin door, and I figured that would be the end of the lessons forever.
