Summary: Matt stood looking up at the sky. "It's
going to snow," he told the dog. The dog lifted its nose to test the air.

The
First Snow
Today I woke up, and I was freezing cold. My teeth were chattering and
goose bumps formed on my arms. I opened the door, and I almost fainted. It had snowed big
time. "We need a shovel," I said to the dog. I just could not believe it. The
white snow stretched for miles.
I took my axe and shoveled a path away from the door of the cabin. I
went back into the cabin, sat by the fire, and read Robinson Crusoe.
