About the Ring-Tail Lemur: The RingTail Lemur lives on a huge island off of the coast of Africa called Comoro. It is very hot there because it is very close to the equator. Lemurs live in trees to catch the breeze. The Ring-Tail Lemur eats insects, bananas, fruit, and leaves. Endangered: They became endangered 500 years ago when people moved to the island of Comoro and cut down trees for farmland. Everybody thought RingTail Lemurs were good to eat. Maybe if they didn't eat so many, they wouldn't be on the endangered list. |
