The Manatee, which is often called the Sea Cow, weighs between 440 pounds and 1,300 pounds. The Manatee lives in Florida, West India, and North Carolina. They sleep, eat, and play underwater. They can live in the salt water and other water such as rivers, swamps, and bays. Endangered: The Manatee's population has been reduced. They usually are killed by collisions with boats. |
