About the Manatee:

The Adult Manatee usually has a rounded body and is colored gray or black. It has a flat, rounded tail. It is about 8 feet long, but it can grow to 14 feet long. The Manatee, which is often called the Sea Cow, weighs between 440 pounds and 1,300 pounds. The Manatee lives in Florida, West India, and North Carolina. They sleep, eat, and play underwater.  They can live in the salt water and other water such as rivers, swamps, and bays.
