About the Black Rhinoceros:

Black Rhinos lives in the Sub-Saharan on the continent of Africa. Black Rhinos eat leaves, fruit, roots, shoots, long grass, herbs, buds, and clover.  The climate is very hot because it is near the equator. The Black Rhino avoids big open lands, so it hides in tall brush all day until night. Night is when it searches for food and water.

Endangered:

The Black Rhinos are endangered because people poach them. Poaching is illegal. The Black Rhino's horn is more rare than gold, so people kill them for their horns. In 1984, there were 8,800 Black Rhinos left in the world. In 1989, there were less then 3,300 remaining.
