1901-The First Radio
    Radio signals sent between Newfoundland and England by Italian Inventor Marconi.

1902-The Airplane
    The first  successful  airplane was invented and flown by Wilbur and Orville Wright on December 17 in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. These two did not invent the airplane.

1906-FRISCO EARTHQUAKE
    The San Francisco earthquake measured 8.3 on the Richter scale killing 700 people on April 18.

1907- The Automobile
       Henry Ford invented a complex, but low-priced, car known  as "The Model-T".

1912- The Titanic
    The Titanic, also known as "The Ship of Dreams", set sail on April 12 and hit an iceberg in the middle of the Atlantic at around midnight on April 14. 2200 people were on the ship to start, and a mere 700 survived the well known sinking of The Titanic.

1915-World War I
  World War 1 started after Austrian leader Archduke Francis Ferdinand was assassinated in Sarajevo in 1914. The Germans then unleashed chemical warfare on Allied troops. Throughout most of the war, Allied troops could not compete with the Central Powers. Finally, in 1917 U.S. troops gave the Allied Forces the manpower to defeat the Central Powers.
