Are you ready for
some Football?
Are you ready to learn a
new sport and HAVE Fun
?
Are you ready to make
new
friends?
The Clark County Youth Football
organization has been a fixture in Clark County for 22
years. We are a full contact sport with 20 teams ranging
from 3rd through 8th grade for ages 8 to 14. Our 3rd and 4th
grade division is called the American League. The 5th and
6th grades make up the National League and the 7th and 8th
graders, our big guys, make up our Cadet League.
We play an 8 game season with the
top four teams in each division going to the playoffs. Two
winners from each division advance to the champoinship
game.
Our Board of Directors is of two
branches, the executive and administrative. They are 20
people representing different areas of our league, coaches,
players, officials, parents, and the community. They work
together to make sure all of you learn about the game of
football, make it safe and above all, HAVE Fun.
Clark County Youth Football will
hold sign-ups and registration for the1999 season starting
this Thursday, March 11th, from 6:00-9:00 P. M. at Fort
Vancouver High School in the cafeteria 5700 E. 18th St., and
again on March 25th and April 22nd. The cost includes the
uniform to use for the season.
Practice starts on August 9th and
runs every week day until the first game. After that it is
cut back to three days a week. Coaches are chosen not only
on their knowledge of football but on there capabilities
related to working with youth effectively
Football is a great sport. If you
haven't tried it before, take a challenge and learn the
game, to have a great time and meet new people.
