Everest is the largest mountain in the world. Mt. Everest is in the Himalayas of southern Asia. Mt. Everest is on the border of Tibet and Nepal. Mt. Everest was named after Sir George Everest. He was a British Military Engineer who served as a General of India from 1829 to 1843. Everest was the first person to find the location and the height of the mountain. Most of the Nepali people refer to the Mt. Everest as "Fore Head To The Sky". The Tibetan people refer to Mt. Everest as "Goddess Mother Of The World".
