Make Clones Of Your Own

What you will need

 a healthy africain violet plant

 a paper towel

 4 baby -foodjars

 wax paper or aluminum foil

 8 plant pots filled with potting soil

 a pair of scissors

 a cup of water

 rubber bands

 

What to do

      1. Cut eight healthy leaves all about the same size from the african violet plant.make sure that you have about 4 centimeters of stalk on each cutting. Put the cuttings on a piece of paper towl, and let them heal for three hours.
      2. Fill each jar with three- quarters full with water. Cut pieces of wax paper (or aluminum foil) to fit over the tops of the jars, and secure the coverings with robber bands. Poke two holes in each piece of paper or foil, and insetr a cutting in each hole. The eight cuttings should develop roots in a few days.
      3. Wait until the roots are roughly 1 centimeter (0.4 inches) long. Transplant each of the eight cuttings to a separate pot. Place two of the eight pots in each pots in each of the following enviroments:

 A spot near a radiator that gets lots of light but no direct sunlight

 A spot near a radiator that gets very little light

 A cool spot that gets lots of light of light but no direct sunlight

 A cool spot that gets lots of light but no direct sunlight

 A cool spot that gets very little light

Note: don't over water your clones! Water them only when the surface of the dirt feels dry.
