Kevin Garnett

Kevin decided to go straight from high school to the NBA, and after an excellent rookie season he was chosen to be an All-Star in his second season. Garnett declared that he was going to be a pro after graduating from Farragut Academy were the basketball team went 28-2 during the season and then to the Class AA state quarterfinals. He was also named Mr.Basketball in the state of Illinois: after being named Mr. Basketball in the state of South Carolina. He went to Maudlin High School in South Carolina for three years before moving to Illinois. He went to Farragut Academy for his senior year when he was named the National High School Player of the Year by USA Today and was chosen to be on the Parade magazine All-America First Team. He was also named the Most Outstanding Player at the McDonald's All-American Game. With the help of rookie Stephon Marbury, Kevin helped to lead the Timberwolves to the playoffs for the first time in franchise history in 96-97. Stephon is now playing for the New Jersey Nets, so he'll have to lead the team by himself.
