It took two years to construct this great beauty. It was called
"The Ship of Dreams" and many people said that not even God could sink this ship. There were 2,300 passengers and crew on board. It set sail on April 10,1912. On
April 14 many passengers were peacefully asleep when the crew spotted an iceberg.
They tried to turn in time to miss it but it was too late, they hit it. Life jackets were
taken out and passengers were taken out on deck. The captain ordered women and
children first on the life boats. There was a great wave of panic. Everybody tried to save themselves. Finally, two hours later the Titanic went down.
