Hera, Zeus'
wife hated the courageous
and strong
Hercules. Out of spite,
she made him
go crazy. In his
selfishness,
he mistook his own kids
from wild and
crazy animals
and killed
them.
Hercules went
to his cousin,
King Eurystheus
of Tiryns, who ordered
him to perform
many hard tasks to atone for his
crime. One
of these tasks was to destroy the Hydra,
an ugly, awful,
nine headed snake.Hercules had to morass
of Lerna, where
the awful creature was. The mighty
hero began
to cut off the creature's heads. To his
surprise, two
heads would multiply for every head he
would chop
off. Hercules was smart. He used a torch
to burn the
heads so that no new heads would multiply.
When Hera found
out that Hercules was to succeed ,
she went to
the huge giant crab, Cancer. Hercules looked
at the crab,
picked it up, and threw it at the snake's
last head,
killing both enemies and one fell start.
