Peregrine Falcons
Falcons are acipiters. They have swept
back wings. Falcons fly by flapping and gliding.
The females are bigger than the males because of the eggs.
Females are brown and males are black and blue. Peregrine
Falcons are the fastest animals in the world. In a dive they
can reach up to 200 miles. The peregrine falcon is the
second biggest falcon.
Peregrine Falcons live all over the world. They eat birds
by diving on the birds that they eat.
Merlins
The Merlin has three names Sparrow Hawk,
American Kesteral, and Merlin. They Live in most of North
America and South America. Merlins Are falcons but some
people think falcons are hawks. Males are more colorful
than females. Merlins have rusty colored backs. Merlins are
the smallest falcons. They eat insects, small reptiles, rodents,
and small birds. The Merlin is not endangered.
