The following poems use happy, sad, and circus themes just like Picasso uses these themes in his paintings.
The Circus Period
Splish splash slosh go the little fishesDown, down, down looks the diver to the waiting tub below
to the waiting tub below.
With perfect grace and posture
the highdiver dives below
splish splash goes the water as she goes into the tub.
The crowd then roars with laughter
the fishes gave the diver one huge hug.

Monkeys
Monkeys Monkeys everywhere
Little creatures covered with hair
Monkeys Monkeys oh so funny
They are worth all the money
But monkeys are such a pain
I really hope it doesn't rain

The Blue Period
A Saturday full of RAIN
Don't you hate it
when it's raining,
on a Saturday
Don't you wish
that it was sunny
on a Saturday
Well if it is
you sure are lucky
'cause outside
it sure is yucky
Crying
Crying all the time
Really being sad
Y can't I be happy
I am not a drag
Never ever laughing
Always being sad, from when I say
Good morning to when I say goodnight
I'm going to cry I have to cry
For I am always sad

The Rose Period
Saturday
It's Saturday oh what a day
a time for me to go and play
A time to read for more than an hour
to stay away from those who're sour
No school heh heh yeah what a day
It's Saturday a day to play

A Weekend
There is no weather that can spoil
nope no weather that can foil
with my little weekend.
Whether its raining or snowing hard
or way too hot to play in the yard
if you pick up a book and read(or do something that you enjoy)
your weekend's safe from any weather weed.

Ice Cream
Yummy, ice cream such a great taste
It's not real sticky or like a paste
I love it ,I love it so delicious
even though it's not nutricious
Oh ice cream, oh ice cream I love you so
With whip cream, syrup, and a cherry to go.
