| Soda bottles like these aren't recycled everywhere around the country. They're made of a special kind of plastic called Polyethylene Terephthalate (also known as PET). Other containers are made of PET, too. Look on the bottom of a container and if you see a recycling symbol with a #1 in the center, it's PET! PET bottles can be made into park benches, boat docks, paint brushes, and even rugs and clothing (like the SAVE group did...go to the "Dream House" section of our site to learn about them)! | ||||||||
