John Longstreet


James Longstreet was a general. He was with the Confederate. His first battle was at Bull Run in 1861. In 1862, he became a major general.
James Longstreet was born on January 8th, 1821 in South Carolina. He was raised by his Uncle in Alabama and Georgia. In 1842, he graduated 54th in a class of 62.
James Longstreet was part of the Confederacy. He took part in many battles of the American Civil War. His second battle at Bull Run won the Confederacy victory. He was then promoted to Lieutenant General.
