Why Hawaiians Sailed

They might have had too many wars.

It also might be because there was no food or water (famine).

Some could have sailed just for the adventure and exploration.

Another reason might have been humiliation. (Like if someone in your family did something bad, you would probably feel ashamed and want to run away.)

Some might have wanted to raid other peoples land.

The last possibility could be colonization (to start a new community).

The Hawaiians were searching for land with more water.
