Hello, my name is Amber and I come from Aiea Elementary School and I am in the sixth grade. I did this project because I thought that it was going to be kind of easy and I told my teacher that I wanted to join. But then after awhile, we had to start coming to weekend sessions and it got harder and harder everyday. But we learned alot of things as we were doing our project.

I like sports a lot. I enjoy playing basketball and volleyball and track. I have participated in a couple of track meets and I have come in third place and second place. I also enjoy reading books and I like to watch "South Park" and sometimes "Home Improvement". I also enjoy ice skating and I am very good at it. I always go to the skating rink and skate.

My best subjects in class are spelling, reading, and everything else except for math because I don't really understand it.

What I mostly did on our web site is a lot of the typing for out team and I did a couple of the graphics, too. I liked doing the files, but the most fun thing that I did was the typing because I am a good typist. I also looked up a lot of web sites so that we could get ideas for our team's project. That is where we got most of our information from. We took information from each web site and we kind of put them together. We did a lot of research on the marine life and dangers of the ocean that we were supposed to do.

As we were doing the web site, we also learned a lot about pollution and trash and how they affect marine animals. It was not just about making a web site, we learned a lot when we did our research. We also learned a lot from our coaches, they were the ones who made this web site come to life. If it wasn't for them, we would still be on our first page. I would like to thank the two coaches that we had, Ms. Sandra Kaneshiro and Mrs. JoAnn Fu. They were the nicest coaches that we could ever have.

I enjoyed this project a lot and maybe I will do it next year. I really enjoyed learning new things that I never knew before. It was very interesting and I hope that my other team members learned as much as I did. I learned a lot of useful facts about the ocean and it was fun working with our Kauai team members. They knew a lot of interesting facts, too. The fun part about doing our project was when we got to go to the outer island (Kauai) and work on our web site with the rest of our team. That was the most fun.
